Hallmark produces an estimated 40 Christmas movies each year, adding to its library of nearly 300 Yuletide films produced over the last decade. These movies rake in an estimated $350 million in ad revenue1. Each Hallmark Christmas movie has a budget of around $1 million. And that doesn.t even include all the other Christmas movies that are not on the Hallmark Channel.
Christmas movies are the perfect way to escape during the holiday season. I love the music and lights and the sparkle and the smiles and laughs and dancing... I love it all. I didnt always feel that way. The holidays used to be stressful and a bit depressing. Now that I am barely older, I find a different peace in Christmas movies. Not only do I love the joy that I see on tv, but also I am obsessed with knowing that I am not the only one drowning in holiday cheer. My mom did always do her absolute best to make every holiday really special. We would always watch the Charlie Brown Christmas Special, Rudolph, Frosty and Santa Claus is Coming To Town. All the classics. I still love the classics but there are so many awesome holiday flicks out there that youre definitely missing. Set the keurig for hot chocolate and settle in with your fuzzy blanket, its Christmas movie time! Here are some of my favorites at the moment and if you have some to add to the comments below and I will update the post. Enjoy!
