I am a bit of a coat junkie so definitely I am going to be leaning coat heavy in this post, but by the time we're done here, I am sure that you'll join my Coat Cult.  I love a great coat.  Regardless of the season, I will buy a coat.  I bought a coat in June at a store in The Magic Kingdom and we had to buy an additional suitcase to get that coat home.  That is not even the most unhinged coat story. Some day I will tell you about the time I bought 6 coats on a Chicago shopping trip and my husband thwarted a robbery. But not today, today I am going to tell you the warmest coat that you can still look cute for all your endless nights/days/performances/games in stadiums.  First thing first is facts (in my opinion)  Down is a natural insulator that is very warm and lightweight. Get a down coat if you can.  They come in all price points so if you have the chance, I always choose down. I find it to be more breathable and does a great job at containing the heat and it moves with you so you can show anyone your sick dance moves at a moments notice. So why so many coats?  Because why not?!  Coats at most thrift stores in our area, are less than $8 typically. And are an absolutely brilliant fashion accessory.  So when I see them and I like them, I buy them.  I have coats for all levels of extraness too.  Fur coats all the way to my favorite $2.25 jean jacket. My other coat shopping hack is at the end of Christmas.  Those coats that people are buying to wear to fancy holiday parties are on sale now.   You will notice a quiet respect when you have the best coat in the room.  It's wildly true.  When you are outside in the winter and you're feeling cozy in your puffer hooded stadium coat and you see your fellow bleacher babe begging her Polar Fleece Pea Coat for some sort of warmth.  Extend a scarf, give her your mittens, be a doll! 

And you definitely read that as Blaine and Antoine from Men On Film from In Living Color.  Iconic, Hated it, is the only way to describe this years fashion.  Not only was it very dull and colorless, but there were absolutely zero iconic shoe or handbag moments.  Arabella Trump who is Ivanka's daughter was styled to let us all know she is the next high style heiress.  Slay.  Usha Vance in her pink coat dress was really nice, but over all, nothing to write home about.  However, once it came time for Trumps balls, everything changed.  There were 3 Inaugural Balls he attended last nite, and those frocks were everything.  Ball gowns, and all the pomp and circumstance that should surround such a big event. Tiger Woods world renown philanderer (allegedly) and now part time golfer had a deal with Nike for 27 years and it was one of the most lucrative endorsements in sports history.  But last year on January 8, 2024, Tiger announced that he had split from Nike and then just a few months later in April Tiger launched his own line with TaylorMade called 'Sun Day Red'.  The logo for Sun Day Red is a leaping tiger made up of 15 stripes for the 15 major championships Woods won and its also a nod to Tiger infamously wearing a red polo at Sunday games.  Puma however just filed a lawsuit saying that Tigers new logo is sus and looks too much like Puma's leaping tiger logo.  The cats are leaping in different directions and the SDR logo looks a bit bigger.  Tigers people say they aren't too concerned and they're sure that the SDR logo is absolutely not infringing on Pumas 56 year old leaping tiger logo.  And if I'm being honest here, Sun Day Red better be on the lookout for a lawsuit from Le Tigre because that is what the logo looks most like.  And if you're not sure what brand I'm talking about you've never had a kid that had to wear a uniform because them Le Tigre polos from Wal-Mart were a wardrobe staple.  Here's Tiger Woods Sun Day Red line.  Make sure to check out the Pioneer Cypress golf shoe, it screams quiet luxury. https://www.sundayred.com/home/

It is almost time for the season finale of football otherwise known as The Super Bowl.  If you're a Pittsburgh Steelers or Los Angeles Chargers fan your team is already gone and out of the playoffs, but have you checked out their fan shop or poshmark or any site that sells team merch?  Your favorite gear is on sale now because if it hasn't sold by now, its not going to sell so it gets marked down as soon as the teams are eliminated.  If you're like me and don't have a real team that's 'your team' this is how I shop. If you're independently wealthy and money aint a thang, there are so many cute womens NFL lines out there if you want to pay full price and not hit the out-of-playoffs clearance rack.  Both Alyssa Milano and Erin Andrews have amazing lines!  I love that they do these womens collabs because they just fit better.  And most of the time they are tons cuter too.  If you're not a sports fan but you do like watching men at sports bars, the womens lines offer a more sexy and fun look than just an oversized jersey. We have snow here in Fort Wayne and its so fluffy and white right now and I all I can think about is how many sweaters is too many sweaters to buy in one weekend?  The answer is limitless. This is a great time to buy sweaters specifically because the holiday ones are being clearanced out. And they're not all gingerbread men or christmas trees on them either sometimes the sweaters are just solid red or green or gold but since they were part of the holiday collection they gotta go!  Now here's where it gets fun, MOST sweaters are priced to move late January and especially by February because that's when stores are trying to get Spring Break gear out the door and people are less likely to buy spring break clothes, shorts, tees etc, if they can also see winter apparel being displayed near.  It's like outta sight outta mind.  Shorts and tanks on display give you vacation vibes and you get the adrenaline rush and buy the shorts.  But if you're shopping and you see shorts displayed with winter clothes, you're still in the winter gray dark frame of mind and you're not as willing to open your pocketbook for springy clothes. All that being said I've knit together a list of all the best sweater deals this weekend including Old Navy, Forever 21 and even Victorias Secret. Get cozy cutie! 

The internet is absolutely losing its collective mind over Andrew Garfield and his reading glasses moment from The Golden Globes last nite.  And I am here for it!  Not only did I also think the look slayed, unbuttoned blouse, sexy reading glasses, Garfield was going for the guts with all that.  Good for him just out here getting older and hotter like you and me.  There was a time in history when I only wore glasses to look smarter in meetings.   They weren't even readers, just fake glasses with plastic lenses.  Looking back I am wondering why did stores even sell these fake glasses in the early 2000's?   Are you using readers?  Once you have one pair of 'readers' you will soon have 5 pairs of readers.  Once you discover the ease of a reading glasses, you'll soon have them all over the place.  I have readers on the table by the couch, in my car, in my purse always, at my desk and I even have a pair in my husbands car just in case he tries to make me sign some small print document.  I am always prepared and that's probably because my anxiety is outrageous and irrationally I worry what if I go somewhere and I can't read something?!  This is the time of year that your insurance is ready to get back to action too.  Make that eye exam.  Did you know that your vision can change drastically over the course of just one year.  Maybe glasses aren't for you but seeing definitely is.  Try contact lenses this year.  I love them.  I just started getting them a year or so ago and it's definitely my preference.  My face gets all sweaty and foggy I feel like I can't breathe when I have glasses on my face.  Make your eye exam and get those beauties checked out soon and go into 2025 with clear vision.   *also never ever pick out glasses by yourself. Ever. Make sure to have a trusted friend, your man or a small child because these people will always be honest with you. 

The Birkin bag from Hermes is one of the absolute most exclusive bags to get your hands on.  Its not much to look at, but the exclusivity and minimalism powers the desire.  There are currently 200,00 Birkins in circulation.  That number is loose because the actual number is under such a tight kept secret, we don't actually know the real number.  The most expensive Birkin is about $3.8 million dollars but the average price starts at around $10k for the smallest version.  You can't get the bags on Hermes website, they don't sell them there and you can't just walk into the store and buy one either.  Those are reserved for a certain amount of people who have already been preapproved.  YES. Preapproved to purchase a handbag.  Even if you do get a chance to buy a Birkin, the company will only sell you 2 in a calendar year. And I've heard that the record keeping is nuts! So intense to make sure that only select few can buy and even those select few can only buy 2.  So Who is the owner of the most Birkin bags? Jamie Chua is the owner of the biggest known collection of Birkin bags. Chua is a YouTuber and socialite from Singapore, who is known to have over 200 Hermès bags, many of which are Birkins.
