February is the Border Between Winter and Spring

February is the month of love! It is cold and snuggly still but I'm thinking ahead to springy weather.  I love a good snow in December and also in January too, but by February I do not want any snow at all.  In February we are all about

  • World Wetlands Day: A day to commemorate the signing of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands of International Importance 
     
  • Groundhog Day: A day that originated from a German tradition of marking Candlemas as "Badger Day" 
     
  • International Day of Women and Girls in Science: A day to promote women and girls in science 
     
  • Presidents Day: A federal holiday that honors all U.S. presidents and is celebrated on the third Monday of February 
     

• Valentine's Day: A day celebrated by many people 
   

• National Freedom Day: A notable happening that takes place in February 
   

• Washington and Lincoln's birthdays: Notable happenings that take place in February 
   

• Super Bowl: A notable happening that takes place in February 
   

• Black History Month: A notable happening that takes place in February 

There is a lot to fit into the smallest month of the year but I'm confident we can do it.  Spread love around all month!
