I was aware of the *REAL ID law going into effect this year but I wasn't aware of these other 5 sneaky new travel rules. I do not have an international travel planned which is good news because I haven't changed over my passport to my married last name yet.
- New authorization for U.K. trips.
- Real ID deadline for air travel.
- More fees in European hot spots.
- New cruise fees in Mexico.
- Southwest seat reservations.
- New application for Europe travel.
*The REAL ID is a driver's license or identification card that meets requirements set by the Real ID Act of 2005. REAL IDs are required to board domestic flights and access certain federal facilities starting May 7, 2025.
